Logemann Center Mission

The Logemann Community Center's mission is to be "the heart of the community in the center of the community."

Becoming the “Heart of the Community” takes effort -- and money. Local taxpayers “only” provide heat and electricity -- a big thanks is extended. We need your donations of both time and money to stay viable and to improve. Although we collect fees and rent for most activities, they do not pay all the costs associated with running a Center. In addition, we offer several activities that are free to participants if we believe they serve a greater good to the community.

Two examples include the summer middle school youth program which provided 150 middle schoolers a supervised place to spend up to 120 hours this summer and the September Historic Days which provided hundreds of 4th graders and families an opportunity to experience parts of local Wisconsin history. We rely on sponsorships and donations for programs like these.

Volunteers are also our lifeblood. We have about 45,000 visitors each year and although we pay a cleaning crew, we need volunteers to do maintenance, upkeep, and sprucing up. A Board member volunteers to work on our web site, but it could be better if he had knowledgeable help. Our fundraising events run fairly smoothly, but the committee is always looking for new ideas and assistance. And despite all our marketing efforts, some people still don’t know much about us, so we could use someone with a bit of time, talent, and interest to help us get the word out. This is YOUR community center and it runs on a shoestring. We could use your help to make it even better.
