Middle School Youth Program
Starts Monday June 28
Monday-Friday 1:00-4:00 PM

The Logemann Community Center's Middle School Youth Center runs every summer starting about a week after the kids get out of school. It runs throughout the summer and ends about a week before school starts up again. It is a place for kids that are going into their 6th grade year or going into their 9th grade year to hang out and have some good, clean fun in a safe, supervised environment for no charge. Along with a team of high school volunteers, two adult supervisors, with oversight by our Programs Director, the summer youth center provides a place that middle school kids in the Mequon-Thiensville community look forward to every year.

Other Activities at the Middle School Youth Center

A day at the youth center frequently involves group games that include everyone in the center. These include an array of card games, board games, sports, even games that are totally made up. The games always are high energy and fun, but are also well supervised. It's our goal too that we can impart on the kids the value of fair play and sportsmanship.

One of the more active games, these kids are participating in a game of "Ultimate Spoons." The first player to get four of the same cards runs to grab a spoon, before everyone else does (an invention of our kids). This is a favorite amongst everyone from the middle school kids to high school volunteers and supervisors.
But kids can also enjoy a game of pool, air hockey or ping-pong. Kids can then relax and enjoy something from our fully stocked snack bar. They can enjoy a selection of healthy foods like frozen grapes and fruit smoothies or choose from a variety of chips, candy and other snacks. For over 10 years, the summer youth center has been the hot spot in the community for middle school kids.
