A Place for Volunteers
Volunteering has been and still is the most vital ingredient to the success of the Logemann Community Center. The very foundation of growing and sustaining this center is made up of all of the people who donate their valuable time and effort, without which Logemann would not survive. The ways in which members of the community can give back are almost limitless. If you have a special talent or skill, a unique interest or niche, it's more than likely that we can find a place for you to contribute. Here are just one of the ways we've used our volunteers:
Erik Ploeckelmann: Known as "Mr. Fix-it," Erik was given a position at Logemann as our local handyman. If there was a broken shelf, a wall that needed painting, an old light fixture or anything else, he'd come and fix it for us. While his presence may seem small, it is the effort of people like Erik that give us the time to focus on how to bring the best programs and the best events to the community.

Volunteer of the Year Award (2009)

Every year, we honor a person in the community who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the Logemann Center. This year, we recognized the efforts of Gabrielle Finger. Despite a full time job and family commitments, she has dedicated the last two years overseeing the Saturday morning Family Playcenter. She acted as a welcoming hostess and a friendly ear to all visiting families. In addition, her efforts promoting all of the other aspects of Logemann outside of the Playcenter were critical to our success. We thank Gabrielle for her years of outstanding service to Logemann,
and look forward to working with her in the future.
